Townships
We believe regular and intentional Christian community is an essential means God uses to reveal himself to us and to grow our love of him.
Our Townships are small groups of like-minded Christians designed to foster genuine Christian community that eventually truly knows each other really well, points each other to the greatness of our God, and functions in ways we see in the New Testament (praying for each other, sharing each other’s burdens, warning each other of sin, encouraging each other, confessing sin, etc.). An essential element to this sort of intentional Christian community is trust.
To foster this, we limit group sizes to about 10 adults, try to create on-target expectations, and do not multiply them (split them once they reach a certain size) so the group can experience longevity of relationship.
We desire these groups to be diverse (various life stages, demographics, gender, etc.) so we can grow in relationship with people not exactly like us. The Spirit often uses these sorts of relationships to communicate more of Jesus to us. This is a needed aspect of Christian community that Townships can help provide.
